5 Top Tips for Attending the Call & Contact Centre Expo

We’ve recently announced on our social media accounts that we are attending the Call & Contact Centre Expo on the 16th and 17th of November 2021. Therefore, I’ve to put together a useful blog with the top tips for attending, these come from years of attending and exhibiting at various events across the world. Hope they help!

Tip 1 – Dress Well 

You never know who you might meet and what opportunities may arise. By dressing smart or smart casual, you will give off a good first impression. People who dress smart tend to look more important and therefore will attract more respect and attention from others. This can lead to more opportunities at Expos. 

Tip 2 – Take Business Cards 

This might seem like an old school approach with the technology we have at our disposal. However, we still recommend taking business cards to the Call & Contact Centre Expo. They are a quick and hassle-free way to hand out contact information to others. They don’t rely on entering numbers or writing things down. 

Bonus Tip: There are usually competitions you can enter that require you to add a business card. 

Tip 3 – Do Some Research Pre-Visit 

With lots of similar companies all offering you the same solutions it’s ideal to do some research before your visit. So, for example, if you are looking for a predictive dialler, do a google search to find out who is in this space. Then you will know exactly who matches your criteria pre-visit.  

With lots of industry buzzwords, it might be difficult to understand which company does what. You could leave the expo more confused when you started. However, by doing research, you will know what questions to ask to find out what you need. 

This also might also be a chance to check out things such as customer feedback on independent software review sites such as Capterra. Whilst companies might explain how great they are on the day, independent software reviews are a great way to see if those words stack up. 

Tip 4 – Have a plan 

If you’ve done your research, you will know exactly which companies you want to speak to. You can then check out the floor plan to decide what route to take. If you’re only there for the day and are planning to have many important conversations, it might be best to set a priority list. Targeting the most important companies first. 

Tip 5 – Have fun 

Whilst there is a serious side to attending expo’s, there is no harm in having fun and relishing in an out of office experience. There will be games and competitions for you to enter, there will also be educational talks from industry experts. So, relax, grab some freebies and enjoy your day at the expo.
