Primo Offers Cryptocurrency as a Payment Method

As a forward-thinking tech business, we are keen to adapt and explore new technology. Therefore, we’ve decided to offer cryptocurrency as a payment method. You can now pay for Primo services in a variety of different cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Elrond and more. 

There are over 300 million cryptocurrency users worldwide across 184 countries. With such a large audience, it’s only a matter of time before others start accepting payment through this method. 

Our Head of Strategy is excited to start exploring other avenues that could benefit our clients. “As a tech company we always conduct research into new avenues which could benefit the growth of Primo. Blockchain has been a huge topic of conversation within the office and something we’re passionate about.” He said. 

“One of Primo’s core principles is to be innovative to make sure our solutions are at the forefront of the industry.” He continued. 

Why are we offering Cryptocurrency payments? 

We recently ran a poll on LinkedIn asking our audience if they would like us to start accepting payments in Crypto. The majority of response was in favour.  

Taking on board the feedback from our customers and embracing blockchain technology we decided to start providing this capability. 

By actively exploring developments in the tech space, we can innovate and explore new areas of growth. 

How can I pay for my Primo services in Crypto? 

At the moment we are rolling out these developments step by step. At first, if you wish to pay by Crypto you will need to notify us. We can then recreate your invoice on our crypto payment portal utrust. 

The utrust portal will allow you to connect various compatible wallets and make payment using the most up to date rates. 

As the Crypto markets are volatile, could that cause risks to Primo’s long term stability? 

The payment gateway we use accepts Crypto but instantly converts that figure to back to GBP or USD, allowing us to get the same value as our invoice requests. 

Which currencies are supported? 

The supported cryptos are as follows: 

Bitcoin, Ethereum, UTK, Dash, USDT and eGLD. 

Please note: For USDT and ETH, please choose ERC20 when sending a transaction to pay at one of our merchants. 

If other network or currency is used, the funds will be permanently lost. 

Will you be supporting other Cryptos in future? 

We will continue to move into this area slowly and monitor uptake. If the demand for crypto payments grow, we can assess other currencies. 

Will we be replacing traditional payment methods with Crypto?

We have no plans in place to remove traditional fiat payments. Crypto payments will run alongside our current billing as an additional option.
